Well, we thought about it. We talked about it. And we finally did it. We went to a Georgia football game...with kids. Granted it wasn't during the Fall, there was no tailgating, and we didn't have to sit crammed into a stadium, but it was the G-Day game, and it counts :) We figured since the kids are now 3 and 5, that was definitely old enough to at least attempt an outing at Sanford Stadium. We actually made it to half-time, when the shade finally gave way to sun, and we ran out of goldfish, raisins and popcorn. (What? As if we would have made it that long without food!) Nanny and D even decided to join in the fun and we are so glad they did. We got to finish up the rest of the weekend in Oglethorpe....riding the tractor, taking walks, "playing" the piano, and all of the other fun things that come with a stay at Nanny and D's house :)

Grandad's 85th Birthday
We celebrated Grandad's 85th birthday a few weekends ago. I felt like he deserved his own post. He is the last grandparent we have and we were happy to share in this special day with him! We had a rough 2011 and we are always looking for a reason to get together and have a party. We are happy to celebrate for as many years as he is willing and able :)
Easter 2012
We had a great Easter! We didn't do a lot, but it was a beautiful Sunday....the kids loved their Easter baskets and we had a fun Easter egg hunt, complete with a new bubble machine at the end. It was so nice that we even decided to bring out the boards to play a fun game of Corn Hole (or at least Nate and Pop did :) We also made Rice Krispie Treat easter eggs that turned out even better than I expected....YUMMO! On a side note, Charlie got a camera and before anybody judges me, it is cheap...both in price and quality. He has been begging for one and I knew I wouldn't make it until October for his birthday. So, just know that for this Easter post, every picture I took, he took. It was funny....at first. But he loves it, so what can I say.

Important Family Pics....
I just didn't feel like I could put together a blog and go back a little way, without including our Grandparents. Nobody could have been happier about us having kids. For both sides of our family, Charlie and Hayden were the first grandkids, and therefore, the first great-grandkids. As I've gotten older, I have realized how lucky Nate and I were to have grandparents as long as we did. When we got married 8 1/2 years ago, we had 5 grandparents at our wedding. Some of them got to know Hayden and all of them got to know Charlie. I am so very grateful for the time they spent together and the few pictures we have of them together to remember those times. I don't want to say much more. I don't like to think about all of the times that could have been, but instead cherish the happy times we had together.
